About Us
This whole adventure started when we picked up our first dog, Beau, at about 10 weeks old. Carley had only ever had one dog before, a sweet little Cavalier named Molly. Conversely, for as long as I could remember, I had always had a dog in my family. I had been around everything from Golden Retrievers to German Long-Haired Pointers. While I did not realize it at the time, when we picked up Beau, I became a fourth-generation hunter, bird dog owner, and trainer.
Fast-forward to now, and we have added another little Britt to the family, Beignet or Ben for short. I have been blessed to have been able to train both dogs, and they have both been in field trials and tested within the NAVHDA system. Primarily, we spend the upland season in Minnesota in the Northwoods hunting Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock. We also chase some Pheasants and go out for the occasional waterfowl hunt. These dogs have completely changed our lives, and we could not be more grateful to have them as a part of our family.
These two dogs opened my eyes to beauty and art within working dogs, and have pulled me deeper down the rabbit hole than I ever expected. Through our services we aim to be a resource to those with hunting dogs, to provide excellent service to our clients, and to work towards building a better bird dog and more specifically a better grouse dog.
