Baker's Beau

We picked up Beau in August of 2021, and thinking back on that day, we had no clue how much he would change our lives. Beau comes from strong hunting lines, with many notable NSTRA Champions and Brittany Field Trial HOF Champions. He is a very focused dog, with a calm temperament and a strong desire to do the work. He has a stubborn streak that has sometimes caused me to pull my hair out, but more often than not it leaves me reminding myself to "trust the damn dog".

Appearance:

He is an intact 40 lb dog, that stands about 20.5 in at the withers. He is an excellent example of the American Brittany breed, with the classic orange and white coat and some orange ticking. He has a soft, medium-dense coat and OFA good hips and elbows.

Range:

In the Grouse Woods Beau has learned to tighten up his range to about 80-150 yards, but even then he will sometimes stretch out a bit further than I would like (usually becuase he is on a bird). In wide open landscapes he is 100-250 yards away, with the regular check-in.
