Baker's Beignet
Beignet or "Little Ben," as we affectionately call him joined our family in early 2023. Ben's pedigree contains many of the same dogs as Beau's. Specifically, Nolan's Last Bullet is featured prominently. Despite their shared ancestry, Ben and Beau are very different dogs in terms of both personality and hunting style. Ben has a ton of spunk, charm, and style. He is a truly endearing dog and makes me burst out in laughter at least one time each walk we go on. He is still improving his focus while working and I plan to train him on some more advanced skills shortly. Ultimately, he is an extremely easy dog brimming with natural talent.

Appearance: Ben is a 45 lb dog and stands about 21 in at the withers. Ben does some idiosyncrasies in terms of appearance that are common amongst American Brittanys. He has the less common liver and white coat, with some liver ticking. His coat is tighter to his body than standard and also has a slight wave to it. His ears are also longer than standard, and the hair on his head and ears is longer than standard.

Range: Ben is a much closer working dog than his brother Beau. In the Northwoods he tends to be about 30-6o yds away at any one time and out on the prairie he is a 50-100 yd dog. He works at a slower pace despite being a speed demon and is very meticulous in checking objectives. When checking in with me he always comes back to me despite my best efforts haha, and usually gives me a good shoulder check once he reaches me.
